Nutrition Detectives

Dr. David Katz and his Turn The Tide Foundation offer a fun and entertaining classroom program for teaching children how to eat better. In fact, we were so impressed that Juice Plus+® funded an animated DVD version of the program for use in classrooms across North America.

You can learn more about this program – and how to implement it in your school – at www.NutritionDetectives.com.

We also offer a free DVD from Nutrition Detectives that highlights the importance of eating more fruits and vegetables. You can request your free copy from your Juice Plus+® representative or email us at ChildrensHealthStudy@JuicePlus.com.

Other Health and Nutrition Websites

"America's Pediatrician" Dr. William Sears and his RN wife Martha Sears have authored more than 30 popular books on children and parenting. They share their advice and recommendations on children's health and nutrition at www.AskDrSears.com.

The American Academy of Pediatrics also offers sound advice and information regarding children's health and nutrition at www.AAP.org.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provide two excellent websites.

Find out how many cups of fruits and vegetables you and your children should eat every day (based on age, gender, and level of physical activity) at www.FruitsAndVeggiesMatter.gov. (Remember that ½ cup = 1 serving.)

The CDC has also created a website geared specifically toward kids called BAM! (Body and Mind) at www.BAM.gov.

Physical Fitness Websites

Good nutrition and physical activity work hand-in-hand to help both you and your children lead longer, healthier lives.

Learn more about "how to raise a healthier generation of kids" (including your own) at www.LetsMove.gov.

Recognizing the importance of both good nutrition and physical activity in improving our health, the old President's Council on Physical Fitness has become the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition. You can visit them at www.Fitness.gov.
